San Antonio College and Chaffey College for ten years; he eventually earned his AA degree.   William “Bill” Lucas rose through the ranks, as he had begun as a Fire Engineer and was  later promoted to captain.  During his firefighting career, William truly proved himself to be a role model – respectable, hardworking, and dedicated to the fire service.
