Terrence Gee began his career in the fire service with the Sacramento Fire Department in 1985. He served as a firefighter for 25 years and was promoted to captain. He was acting emergency medical services captain and public information officer. His chief described him as the sound voice of reason. He was elected to the Board of Directors for Florin Fire District and guided the district through a merger with the American River Fire District. A strong family man, Terry coached his son and daughter in soccer for over 10 years. He died of job-related lung cancer at 54.
