Darrayle B. Prosser began his career with the Los Angeles Fire Department at the age of 23. Over the course of his 32 years of service with the LAFD, Darrayle worked everywhere in Los Angeles from the San Fernando Valley to the San Pedro Harbor, including the Downtown and South-Central areas. Darrayle worked his way up through the ranks and was promoted to captain, a position he held for 12 years. Above all, Darrayle loved his family, and when he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending his time camping, fishing, skiing, cooking and traveling with them. Darrayle died in 2016 following a battle with job-related cancer. He is survived by his wife, Karen.
