State Capitol Park – East Side
Sacramento, California

FROM THE SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT/I-5 NORTH:

  • Take I-5 South to Sacramento, for approximately 10 miles.

  • Take the J Street exit and stay in the right lane.

  • Turn right onto 3rd Street and then left onto N Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between 10th and 15th Streets and L and N Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.

  • Parking garages are located at 10th and L Streets, 12th and L Streets, 12th and J Streets, and 13th and J Streets.

FROM SAN FRANCISCO (Davis, Vallejo, Oakland, San Jose):

  • Take I-80 East to the Capitol City Freeway/US 50/I-80 East to I-5 North.

  • Approximately one mile later, take the J Street exit and stay in the right lane.

  • Turn right onto 3rd Street and then left onto N Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between 10th and 15th Streets and L and N Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.

  • Parking garages are located at 10th and L Streets, 12th and L Streets, 12th and J Streets, and 13th and J Streets.

FROM HIGHWAY 99 SOUTH (Stockton, Fresno, Modesto, Elk Grove):

  • Take Highway 99 North to I-80 West/San Francisco.

  • After taking I-80 West, immediately get over to the right and take the 16th Street exit.

  • Follow 16th Street to L Street, and turn left onto L Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between L and N Streets and 10th and 15th Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.

  • Parking garages are located at 10th and L Streets, 12th and L Streets, 12th and J Streets, and 13th and J Streets.

FROM I-5 SOUTH (Elk Grove, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno):

  • Take I-5 North to downtown Sacramento.

  • Take the J Street exit and stay in the right lane.

  • Turn right onto 3rd Street and then left onto N Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between 10th and 15th Streets and L and N Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.

  • Parking garages are located at 10th and L Streets, 12th and L Streets, 12th and J Streets, and 13th and J Streets.

FROM RENO/I-80 (North Highlands, Roseville, Auburn):

  • Take I-80 West to I-5 South to downtown Sacramento.

  • Take the J Street exit and stay in the right lane.

  • Turn right onto 3rd Street, and then left onto N Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between 10th and 15th Streets and L and N Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.

  • Parking garages are located at 10th and L Streets, 12th and L Streets, 12th and J Streets, and 13th and J Streets.

FROM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE/HIGHWAY 50 (Folsom, Placerville):

  • Take Highway 50 West to Sacramento and take the 16th Street exit.

  • Follow 16th Street to L Street, and turn left onto L Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between L and N Streets and 10th and 15th Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.

  • Parking garages are located at 10th and L Streets, 12th and L Streets, 12th and J Streets, and 13th and J Streets.

FROM THE CPF OFFICE (1780 Creekside Oaks Drive, Sacramento):

  • Turn left out of the CPF parking lot (Creekside Oaks Drive) onto Capitol Park Drive.

  • At the stop sign turn left onto Natomas Park Drive.

  • Turn right at the stop light onto Garden Highway.

  • Take I-5 South to the J Street exit and stay in the right lane.

  • Turn right onto 3rd Street and then left onto N Street.

  • The State Capitol and Capitol Park are located on the left between 10th and 15th Streets and L and N Streets.

  • The Memorial is at the center of the Park.
