Christopher “Cuz” Cuzynski began his career as an Oak Grove Hot Shot for the US Forest Service, eventually moving to the Marine Corps Air Station Fire Department in Tustin and ultimately being hired as a firefighter for the San Gabriel Fire Department, where he served 38 years moving through the ranks to Captain. Whether you needed your vehicle fixed, help with contract negotiations or just someone to lend an ear, you could always count on Chris. His passions included public service, traveling and anything to do with cars. Chris passed away in 2016 after suffering from a descending aortic aneurysm. His family was his greatest source of joy, and he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Suzie, and his children Carolynn and Joseph, both of whom followed him into public service.
